OK, I will admit it straight away - I just LOVE Africa. I have visited many times and many different countries in this vast continent. Wildlife in Africa is pure and and indeed really wild. I have spent time in the impenetrable forests of Uganda, the endless plains of the Serengeti, the wonderful Okavango and so many other great places in this magnificent continent. The majority of my favorite images I have shot here in Africa.
I hope by sharing these images with you you will understand why conservation is vital. We should do our utmost to ensure this wealth is passed on to our grand children's grand children and beyond.
Although most of the wildlife photography I have posted on this site was shot in Africa there is of course plenty of wildlife in the rest of the world. Most of the shots in this gallery have been shot in the Arctic region when i travelled with National Geographic to Svalbard or Spitsbergen as it is referred to as well.
You'll also find some images shot in Europe and Latin-America.
OK, this is a bit odd: to have a horizontal across regional albums... Let's say that our feathered friends can fly from one region to another :-)
Actually birds are a species by themselves which I thought warranted them a separate album. Also whereas most mammals try to blend in with the environment birds are often brightly coloured ( with some exceptions!). Nevertheless in this album you will find birds of a feather from both the arctic and the tropical regions and anywhere in between.
